Clay and Kyla Plaugher

Owners

Our story begins in 2014 when we first met in accounting class at Bowling Green State University. We bonded over our love for sports, and quickly became inseparable. Throughout college, you could find us playing all the intramural sports - handball, wiffleball, flag football, volleyball, soccer, basketball, futsal, etc. After college, we moved to Lima and in 2020, we tied the knot! We now reside in Elida with our dog and newborn!

Kyla Plaugher

Owner & Trainer

Hey! I’m Kyla, the owner of Ride & Reform. My life has always centered on sports—from my days as a New Bremen local to my time at BGSU, where I played four years of club soccer, a year of club basketball, and nearly every intramural sport offered.

After moving to Lima, I coached youth soccer and continued playing competitively until a second ACL tear forced me to retire from the pitch. That injury shifted my perspective on movement, leading me to fall in love with the intentionality of pilates, yoga, strength training, and cycling. I created this space to share that passion with you. When I’m off the mat, I’m usually fueled by iced coffee, a good book, or a true crime podcast.

Whether you’re here to crush a personal best or simply recharge, my door is always open. I pair high-energy beats with intentional movements designed to challenge your limits and celebrate your strength. Clip in, find your rhythm, and leave feeling more empowered than when you walked in—let’s ride!

Charles Slater

Trainer

Hi, I’m Coach Charles! I grew up in Columbus but now call Lima home. When I’m not managing or instructing R&R, you can find me on the basketball court. My mission is to bring big-city energy to every class, helping you find a rhythm and a community you were made for.

As a certified Personal Trainer, Strength & Conditioning Coach, and now a Certified Cycling Instructor, I’m all about helping people achieve their goals. For me, the most rewarding part is seeing clients' hard work pay off. Not long ago, one of my clients came to me wanting to feel confident on a cruise, and after a successful cruise, he’s continued to work hard and is now showing off his progress on social media.

Get ready to vibe with me to the best of rap, hip hop, and more as we work hard and grow together!

Gabi Castro

Trainer

Hi, I’m Gabi! I moved to Lima 3 years ago hoping to grow my career as an accountant, but ended up pursuing my passion for fitness. I’ve been in Fitness for a year now, and I’ve been really enjoying each second of it. Being able to coach and meet new people each day has been my favorite part of the job. I’m originally from Puerto Rico, and although Lima is not as warm as the Caribbean, I’ve grown to love this small town and its people. When I am not instructing, I am weight training, reading or trying out different exercise classes.

My goal as your instructor at Ride & Reform is to create a class that is not only fun, high energy, and motivating but also safe and inclusive. I love to combine all types of music, and add in dance movements with my own Latin twist into my classes! So if you’re looking for a fun and motivating class, come ride with me!

Kerrigan Lenhart

Trainer

Hello! I’m Kerrigan, a graduate of Wapakoneta High School. I used to struggle with staying consistent in my fitness journey—that is, until I started taking group cycle classes at Ohio University. I quickly fell in love with the energetic, challenging environment, and I can’t wait to bring that same enthusiasm to Ride & Reform!

Outside the studio, you can almost always find me sipping a coffee with a classic book in hand or hanging out with friends. In the studio, my goal is to help you build strength and stamina while having a blast. With upbeat music and high energy, my classes are encouraging, engaging, and packed with pop and hip-hop favorites. Above all, I want every participant to leave feeling proud of the work they put in.

Having fully committed to fitness later in high school and early college, I know what it feels like to start from scratch. As an instructor, I make sure everyone feels welcome regardless of their skill level. With consistency and hard work, it’s amazing what you can accomplish!

Lanie Kempf

Trainer

Hi! I’m Lanie Kempf, a Cory-Rawson High School graduate and current nursing student at Ohio Northern University. I’ve always been passionate about staying active, from playing soccer and basketball in high school to running and finding new ways to challenge myself in the gym. Biking is one of my favorite ways to move, not only because it’s a great workout, but because it’s genuinely fun and gives you a mental reset.

I enjoy music from all different genres to help keep the energy high. I love helping people in any way I can, and my goal as a cycling instructor is to inspire riders to push past their limits to reach their own goals, all while feeling supported every step of the way. If you’re looking for a class that is beginner-friendly but still gives you the challenge you need, then my class is the one for you!

Alexis Cobb

Trainer

Hi! I’m Alexis, a 2016 graduate of Allen East High School. I’ve always had a passion for everything sports and fitness and now, as a Spin Instructor, I will bring high energy, good vibes, and plenty of encouragement to the studio every single time. I love creating a fun, welcoming space where riders of all levels can show up, challenge themselves, and leave feeling stronger and more confident than when they came in.

As a wife and a mom of two boys, I know what it’s like to juggle a busy life while still trying to make time for yourself. This is why I’m passionate about helping others carve out those moments to invest in their health and confidence.

In my classes, expect great music, motivating coaching, and a supportive atmosphere that makes every ride feel like a win. Whether you’re brand new to spin or ready to push your limits, I can’t wait to ride with you!

Kassidee Slater

Trainer

Hello! I'm Kassidee, and I'm so excited to be one of your cycling instructors here at Ride & Reform. I’m a proud Spencerville native, who was homeschooled and grew up playing volleyball and basketball. My love for sports/fitness made me decide to study exercise science at Apollo Career Center, where I graduated from in 2024. From there, I became a Certified Cycling Instructor with a mission to help people feel strong, confident, and comfortable in their own skin.

Growing up homeschooled in a small town taught me the value of community, and that's exactly what I want to create in my classes. We'll leave it all on the bike while rocking out to country and hip-hop playlists.

Join me for a ride where you can challenge yourself and feel your absolute best in a community that is focused on making one another better!
